Frankincense essential oil, diluted in fractionated coconut oil and presented in a roll-on, puts the most precious oil in the dōTERRA range within easy reach. It brings together the resin of several Boswellia species, harvested in Oman, Somaliland and Ethiopia, each on the soil that suits it, sandy for one, dry and rocky for another.

Frankincense is first and foremost a skin oil: applied locally, the roll-on soothes and moisturises, reduces the appearance of blemishes and fine lines, and cleans the cuticles for healthy-looking nails. Its warm, resinous aroma promotes a feeling of peace, relaxation and contentment. In Somaliland, frankincense comes from the Sanaag region, where harvesting it is the main source of employment. The trees are passed down through the generations, and tribal law assigns each harvester the areas they may access.
