Black Spruce essential oil dōTERRA | 5 ml

Black Spruce essential oil dōTERRA | 5 ml

Black Spruce essential oil is the oil of the far northern forests in the dōTERRA range, for those who love conifers but find fir too sharp. It is distilled from the needles and branches of Picea mariana, a tree of the Canadian boreal forest, and has a woody, balsamic scent, softer than that of other tree oils.

It owes this settled character to bornyl acetate, which it contains in large amounts. Diffused in the morning or applied diluted to the back of the neck during the day, it creates a calm atmosphere that lends itself to meditation. On the skin, mixed with a carrier oil, it gives a cool, soothing sensation: massaged into tired shoulders and legs after exertion, it makes the massage comforting. A drop in your moisturiser helps cleanse the skin and reduce the appearance of blemishes.

No tree is felled for it: the branches and needles left behind by the timber industry are what gets distilled. A soft, calm tree oil, made from what nobody used to harvest.
