Copaiba (Copaíra) essential oil dōTERRA | 15 ml

Copaiba (Copaíra) essential oil dōTERRA | 15 ml

1 total reviews

Copaiba essential oil is the most understated skincare oil in the dōTERRA range, for those who want the benefits of an oil on the skin without its scent. It comes neither from a leaf nor from a wood, but from the oleoresin of the copaiba, a tall Amazonian tree, and its woody aroma is so mild that it is used almost like a carrier oil.

It is the richest essential oil in β-caryophyllene known, and it belongs in your skincare routine, as in the soaps, creams and perfumes that have long used it. One to two drops in your moisturiser, cleanser or toner soothe and moisturise dry skin and promote a clear, smooth complexion. Added to another essential oil, it brings a moisturising note to the blend. After intense activity, diluted in fractionated coconut oil and massaged into the legs, it makes the massage soothing; diffused, it creates a calm, balanced atmosphere.

An oil you forget on the nose and notice on the skin.

Interesting fact

The way copaiba oleoresin is collected is unique: the tree is tapped, just as sugar maples are, to gather it, and it is then steam-distilled to produce the essential oil.
