Wild Orange essential oil, sold by dōTERRA in Europe under the name Sweet Orange, is one of the most popular oils in the range. It is cold-pressed from the peels, those of one hundred and fifty-four oranges for a 15 ml bottle: the aroma is that of a freshly peeled orange, sweet and tangy.

Its energising scent comes into its own when energy dips, a few drops in the diffuser during a work session or a task that drags on. On the skin, diluted, it slips into an unscented lotion or into your morning shower gel for an invigorating shower. It blends well with Frankincense, Bergamot, Guaiacwood and Virginian Cedarwood, and is also used to clean surfaces around the home while freshening their scent.

The same bottle moves from the diffuser to the bathroom and on to the cleaning: an all-purpose citrus.

In Brazil, orange oil is produced alongside the juice: the oil is pressed from the peels, the juice from the whole fruit. Both productions share the same harvest.

    Pair it with Bergamot, diluted in a carrier oil, for a citrus scent to wear on the wrists.
