Among dōTERRA essential oils, Blue Lotus is an exception: it is a flower extract of Nymphaea caerulea, the Egyptian blue water lily, set in a base of fractionated coconut oil. The ancient Egyptians associated it with immortality; Buddhism made it an emblem of wisdom and awakening. The flower is blue-violet with a bright yellow heart, and its extract is rare.

Its aroma is floral, soft and fresh.
