Schinus molle

Pink Pepper essential oil dōTERRA | 5 ml

Pink Pepper essential oil dōTERRA | 5 ml

Pink Pepper essential oil, sold by dōTERRA France under the name “Baies roses”, is the fruity pepper of the range. Its berries do not come from a pepper vine but from the molle, a tall Andean tree related to the cashew: its flavour is milder and fruitier, its heat lighter than that of Black Pepper.

In the kitchen, a drop replaces ground black pepper in meat, a sauce or a marinade, and lifts a glass of water or a homemade chai; after a hearty meal, a drop in a tall glass of water. In the diffuser, with a citrus or floral oil, its aroma creates an uplifting atmosphere. No dōTERRA oil contains as much α-phellandrene: diluted in a carrier oil, it gives a soothing sensation during a massage or in the bath, and its limonene helps cleanse the skin.

A gentler pepper, as useful in the kitchen as in massage.
